Gracefully Alice twirled round to wait for Rosalie, as her voice tinkled in her ears. It was not shock that her sister wanted to get out of target range as soon as she did, as like her keeping up her clothes clean was far more important than risking another attack on one of the other members of their family. “Oh Rose, but you are going to miss all the fun, Emmett had his eye on you next” she teased, as she linked her arm with her sister as they walked together to the lunch hall. It was awkward arm link as Rosalie was a lot taller than her, yet the afternoon had been so spirited, that Alice did no care. Plus her small heels gave her a little height, making it like a mother linking arms with her child.

“Just playing it safe, Edward, designer does not mix with snow” her little voice sounded over her shoulder, as she moved in perfect grace next to Rosalie as the crowd parted to let them both past. It was a little shocking to see how big the crowd around them had become, it was almost like they where some freak show that the whole school was gathering around to point at. Though to the students at Forks High School they where a bit of a freak show, especially when they where acting so out of character, or at least the boys where. Alice was always seen as being a little friendly than the others, and Rosalie was herself as always worrying about her appearance rather than having fun. So they where excused from most of the glances, as most of the eyes where focused on the three boys.

Reaching the door and stepping into the warm cafeteria, Alice laughed musically. In the back of her head she could see the scene going on behind her, and she knew none of them where going to own up. Yet as she caught a glimpse as the principal storming from the scene, a light laugh leave her lips, as she joined the queue behind Rosalie. Without really paying attention she gently grabbed some food she would pretend to eat. Alice nodded vaguely as the dinner-lady made her daily comment about her needing to eat more, before she followed in suit behind Rosalie to the table they always occupied.

Placing the tray on the table, she hopped over the bench on the opposite side of the table to her sister. Gently her eyes began to wonder, watching the students enter as the crowd outside began to disperse, who where followed by her two brothers and Jasper. Each of their hairs held little droplets of water from the snow outside, and each where smiling broadly. The sight made Alice feel warm inside, for though the sight of Emmett grinning broadly was not a big change, to see the other two relaxed and happy, sent a warm feeling licking through her insides. Though as her eyes took another tour of the room, and her eyes lay on the head of one Bella Swan the cold reality took hold once more.

Dropping her gaze instantly and looking at one of the many posters on the walls, her little body became still as a stone. In her head she watched for any movement the girl might make that would cause a reaction in Edward and ruin is joyful mood. Though nothing struck her and she quickly emptied her thoughts of any worry along with her emotions, she did not want to make either Jasper or Edward feel any alarm, as she had total faith in her brother’s self-control even if his faith was lacking slightly. And as they wondered up the table taking seats around her and Rosalie, Alice smiled brightly as she took jasper’s hand under the table, uttering “had fun while we where gone.”
