SO IF YOU CAN'T FIND ME LOOK TO THE WESTERN SKY as someone told me lately everyone deserves a chance to fly - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -
A young woman was lightly scurrying around a house on the Makka Reservation trying desperately to find a bikini that didn't make her look like a candy strip. Her Mother had decided that that summer stripes were in and so everything bought for her was far too flashy for her tastes. Emily had always been one of those girls that preferred to dress in simple garb that was pretty but did not attract attention. Ems knew she wasn't ugly, but she was nowhere near stunning. She was just her. After another three minutes of vague pushing around of clothes her fingers connected with what felt like the right material for a bathing suit. Plucking at it like it was something disgusting she pulled it out and took a look. It was just plain black and would still fit so she put it on, before pulling a top and skirt over the top. Emily had never really been a strong swimmer so she doubted if she'd ever actually bother to go in, but she might if it got too hot so she had to have the option.
Sliding down her banister very ungainly she hopped off the end and grabbed for the bag she had packed the night before. On one of her trip to La Push she had run into a girl called Angela Webber. She was wonderfully kind and sweet, but she had seemed so shy it had just been in her nature to reach out to her and make sure she at least had someone to talk to that night. Thankfully for the both of them it had been the beginning of a beautiful friendship that had lasted ever since. With a smile on her face Emily did one last check to see that she had everything she might even chance at needing. Sun scream, check. Bathing suit, check. Cash, check. Extensive drink selection, check. Food, check. Grinning like the Cheshire cat she finished her list and closed the bag again. Glancing around to see that she was alone before doing a little victory dance that she had been smart enough to pack everything she would need the night before. Emily liked to think of herself as organized but she knew if she didn't have her mental lists she'd be screwed.
Whipping her hair back over her shoulder she grabbed her keys from the hook by the door and danced merrily off into the air of the world. Pressing on her car stereo the usual sound of 'Wicked' came blaring out as she made her way merrily up the hill, singing along in her quite surprisingly good voice. Musicals and tinkering with cars were two of Emily's favorite pass times, can you guess which one she knew more about? Her voice mingled perfectly as she finally reached the top of the hill and began to descend down into La Push, heading for the beach with a broad smile and a happy infliction upon her face. Stopping the car she turned off the noise and hopped out in much the same way she had hopped in. Grasping her bag she headed out over the sand and sat down, bringing a towel to sit underneath her and protect her clothes as she waited for Angela to appear...

SHE'S SO HIGH high above me, she's so lovely ~~~~~~~~~~
It was like hell on earth for Angela. She looekd into the depths of her closet after spending half an hour digging throuhg, realizing she ahd nothing good to wear. The two bathing suits she did own were laying in a pile at her feet. One was a simple red one-piece with white polka dots, but it made her look like a tomato. The way her mirror distorted her figure made her despise it immediately. The other one, a silver two-piece that turned heads in a flattering way to some, but not to Angela, soon joined her red one. The girl sighed and blew a strand of hair from her face. She would never make a decision. In a sign of defeat, Angela shoved her closet door shuyt and stopped down to pick up her red one. At least it wouldn't shame her father's name. And there would be no one at the beach except for her and Emily.
Not wasting any time, Angela dressed in her bathing suit and donned a t-shirt and jeans, slipping on her sandals at her door. She nearly collided with her brothers, who were running aout with wayter guns in the house. Angela sighed and yelled at them as they ran down the hall. "Mom is going to kill you if she catches you with those things in the house!" she shouted this out with no response. They were too busy sliding down the banister out were whizzing out the door. So much for listening to big sis' while mom went shoppping. At least the babysitter would be over soon so Angela could leave.
Ding dong. Angela raced downstairs and answered the door. A girl, Hanna Greene, was waiting on the porch. The girl smiled and ushered the babysitter in, showing her to the living room. Angela told her about keeping the boys out of trouble and to feed them around one o'clock. Hanna agreed to everything and gave Angela her cell phone number just in case. She sighed again, waving as she left the house. She waved goodbye to the boys, but they were too busy shooting water at each other to wave back. Angela skipped down the street happily, glad to be free.
It took the bus about ten minutes to reach the edge of La Push. It took naothe five minutes to walk from the border to the beach, and it was cloudy by the time she reached the sand. Angela watched the clouds settle in with remorse, but was glad it wouldn't be a hot day. She dug out the sun block she threw in her bag and rubbed it over her pale skin. She threw it back in and shyly took off her t-shirt, leaving her jeans on until she reached the shore. Already the boys began to stare. Someone whistled in the background, and it made her ears turn red. Angela walked faster, shoving her shirt into her bag.
Angela wasn't used to boys staring at her, and the bathing suite surely didn't help. The girl turned a shade lighter than her clothes as she walked, twirling a lock of hair around her finger. She wasn't Jessica. She didn't flaunt herseklf aroudn boys for attetnion. Luckily it would be just hera nd Emily takign a swim today. She couldn't bear it if any of the boys showed up. The girl slipped off her sandals and crammed thme into her bag. Off on the sand, she could spot someone waiting, sitting on their beach towel.
"Hey Emily! Angela called out when she saw her friend. Glad to be rid of the local boys and their gazes, she ran up to meet her friend. Naturally, Emily looked stunning in her bathing suit. Angela shoved her thumb in the loop of her jeans. She smiled and let her bag fall to the ground beside her as she sank to a sitting position. The sand was soft and cool beneath her. Angela turned to Emily and asked, "How's life these days?" She hadn't seen Emily in a while, and she wanted to know all about the latest in La Push. To Angela, gossip was wrong, but she couldn't help it. Forks was boring.
