GET YOUR MOTOR RUNNIN’ HEAD OUT ON THE HIGHWAY LOOKIN’ FOR ADVENTURE AND WHATEVER COMES YOUR WAY
Embry ran around his room, trying to find this old shirt that he wore when him and Quil went out to the dirt track. If he couldn’t find it he’d just put another one on, but he liked the other one a lot better because it had seemed to give him luck. He smiled hugely, as he dug for the shirt in his dresser. Finally he had it in his hands and he smiled. ”Haha, Quil.” He mumbled, as he slid the shirt onto him. This was one of the only shirts that fit him anymore with him now being 6’6 or so. He had grown a lot, and he thought it was just a growths spurt but turned out to be werewolf genes kicking in.
He grabbed his wallet and keys to his truck, and his cell phone too. Can’t leave the house with out it, like most kids Embry’s phone was with him 24/7. Embry said a quick goodbye to his mom and left the house and got into the truck. He started it and took off towards the Dirk Track. Quil had said that they would meet there, so he agreed to meet him there in 5 minutes. Yeah, it was rushing it…but Embry always liked to make an entrance. Embry laughed while he drove. He pushed the truck to go faster.
The five minutes passed, and he had finally reached the Dirt Track. He parked his truck and looked around to see if he could see Quil anywhere. And there he was, standing before him. Embry smiled and turned the truck off and got out. He locked the doors before putting his keys into his jean pocket. He loved these jeans, they had whole’s in them on the knee’s and they were baggy but not to baggy.
Embry made his way over to his best friend that he spent a lot of his time with. Jacob was off somewhere today, doing something or another so it was just Embry and Quil today. Now this was going to be interesting. Embry kept on walking before he was about 5 feet away from Quil and he smiled. ”Hey Quil! Ready to get your butt whooped in racing?” Embry asked smiling mischievously at his friend. This was going to be a good day, and also it was a rare sunny day. Perfect for racing, even though racing when it was a bit wet was much more fun that when it was dry. Embry shrugged, it really didn’t matter he just wanted to race and beat Quil.
Embry looked at Quil awaiting his answer to his previous question. He just stood there with a smirk pasted on his face, it didn't look like it was going to be going away anytime here soon.

There was one thing about Quil that was always for sure...he was always starving. Quil rummaged through the cupboards downstairs in the kitchen before pulling out a box of Lucky Charms. His mother came into the room and frowned as she saw him pulling out a bowl from the cupboard. She made a comment about him 'eating again and spoiling his dinner'. "I'm going to go kick Embry's rear at the race tracks tonight so just save me some leftovers? You know I'll be hungry when I get back, Ma." Quil wasn't the kid who got into trouble and hardly ever fought with his mother. It seemed, because of this, Quil got to do more of the things he wanted. Plus, it was just with Embry and Quil had been best friends with Embry and Jake for as long as he could remember. The three of them weren't the type to really get in all that much trouble, Quil didn't think.
Quil poured the Lucky Charms into his bowl 'till it reached almost the top, only leaving room for the milk, knowing a few of the cereal would pop out from the overflow. He poured the milk into the bowl and shoved it back into the fridge. No pieces had overflown yet, but it would only be a matter of time when Quil would dip his spoon into the bowl. Quil sat on the counter next to his bowl, flicking on the radio in the kitchen to play music. He chewed his cereal slowly, but not too slowly as he didn't want it to go all soggy on him. Soggy cereal was just plain disgusting. As soon as the cereal was gone, Quil drank the milk from the bowl before setting it in the sink.
Quil checked the time, knowing he had about fifteen minutes to make it over to the track. Quil headed up the stairs to his room and made his way to his drawers, knowing exactly where his clothes that he wore to the tracks were at. He kept them all in the same drawer so he could find them easily. It was colder outside so Quil shrugged on a long sleeved shirt and his sweats. He changed into his shoes he usually used and grabbed a jacket before he was out the door and down to the race tracks.
Quil wasn't surprised when he had found that he had beat Embry to the tracks. He usually did beat Embry for Embry tended to wait until the last minute to leave it seemed. Not that it really mattered much for The Rez wasn't very large and you could make it to the other end of it pretty quickly. He heard another vehicle approaching though and Quil turned to spot Embry. He waited for his friend to get out of the truck and laughed as he heard him talk. "No way man," Quil said. "You almost didn't even make it on time. You lack the skills to beat me, my friend."

GET YOUR MOTOR RUNNIN’ HEAD OUT ON THE HIGHWAY LOOKIN’ FOR ADVENTURE AND WHATEVER COMES YOUR WAY
Quil’s laugh just make Embry smile. ”Sure, sure. That’s what you say now.” Embry said. ”Ppsshhh..I just wanted to make an entrance. Not my fault you liked to early to things.” He said and shrugged. It was true, Quil was always early to things and Embry just liked to get to things on time, at the exact moment. It left more time to do other things that he wanted to do. Embry smirked as he made his way over to the area where they paid for the pass to get in for the few hours they wanted to go and race.
It was always fun to go out and race, Quil, Jake, and Embry would go out and race a lot and they still did, but today Jacob was not to be found so it was just Quil and Embry. Which could probably be bad, but it would be fun none the less. A mischievous smile came onto his face as he paid for his and Quil’s pass to get in. ”No complaining either Quil.” He said as he handed him the pass thing that they had got after they paid so the workers there would know that they had paid.
Embry walked into the area where they could actually start racing at, but they had to wait a few minutes so Embry just stopped and turned to Quil. ”Hey have you seen Jacob today? I couldn’t get a hold of him.” He asked Quil. Quil probably hadn’t seen him either but he decided to ask. ”Oh, thanks for coming out. I thought it was about time we raced a bit, and it is something to do. Hopefully I’ll win, but…you never really know.” Embry said, and smiled hugely.
Embry started to think of what he probably needed to do when he got home. He probably had some kind of homework that needed to be done and some chores he bet. Probably just his laundry, which was in need of doing. He’d have to remember to grab something to eat when he got home because he knew that he would be starved by the time he got home. He was eating so much lately, and he wouldn’t even gain an ounce. His mom didn’t mind cooking, but she was starting to get a bit annoyed at him eating constantly. So, she had decided to start to teach him how to cook, and it was about time. Now Embry knew how to make a few things, but not a lot. Just enough to satisfy him till they had dinner. He laughed. If people knew, he didn’t know what he’d do. Probably just laugh, or something.
