If you are interested in any of them, we urge you to sign up and join in with the site. Characters we are currently not accepting, are any original vampires – excluding Volturi vampires – or werewolves, as it goes against the story that we are following. Alice’s reaction was instinctive as soon as Jaspers weaved his fingers through hers. She curled her fingers through his, and gave his hand a little squeeze back. It was more to her like a supportive gesture, than I loving one. Alice knew he had understood his words, and she wanted to give him some from reassurance and hope, and for them it was easily done with a small squeeze of the hand. “La Tua Cantante” she muttered under her breath, looking back at Jasper out of the corner of her eye, as understanding flashed through her. Alice knew Edward would never react this way to a normal; he had self control to almost match Carlisle. Though she had never thought, that anything like that really existed. Of course Emmett had claimed it, but she had still doubted the full power of it. However now after seeing Edward today, Alice could not help but be a believer.

“It is for the best, still does not make the situation any better for us” Alice said simply, looking at her sister as her another question was directed at her. Closing her eyes lightly, Alice’s mind focused on Edward’s plans for a moment. “He has gone to Carlisle” she stated not opening her eyes “and they have swapped cars, but…” Alice stopped there and opened her eyes to look at the rest of her family. “He has gone to house, or plans to…but I don’t think he shall do anything, I think he is just trying to get things straight in his mind.”

Alice brow furrowed when Rose brought up the matter of what they should do with the girl. Honestly Alice just wanted her to leave, she wanted to brother to come home safely and their life to carry on as it always did. Yet there was nothing they could do to make the girl leave, nothing that would go against every moral they held dear. Their only option was to carry on like normal, and hope that Edward came back to them soon. Though as she opened her mouth to semi admits defeat, Emmett had other plans.

Her musical laugh filled the room, as Emmett’s plans flashed through her mind, and Esme’s reaction rang in her ears. “Nice Emmett” she finally said looking over to him “though horses head, really? I would have thought a bear’s head would have been more appropriate, after we could have fun taking on down.” Her laugh sounded again, as for the first time since racing to the car she felt truly light-hearted again.

Calming down slightly and sinking back into the situation her thumb ran gently over Jaspers, as the situation at hand weighted back on her. “Esme’s right, it’s not the girls fault” Alice started “we just have to leave her alone, however much we would like to drive her out of town, we cant. We just have to wait for her to leave, or Edward to come back. Hopefully it wont be too long, the girl wants to go back home as much as we would like her to leave.”

It seemed as if everyone was in agreement about the reason why Isabella Swan’s blood affected Edward so; she was his singer. Or ‘La Tua Cantante’ as Alice had said. The singer’s blood drove the vampire completely crazy with need. Even vampires such as them who did not drink human blood were driven to kill the human to erase the want and satisfy their hunger for that blood. Emmett was an example of that. Jasper had never experienced such a feeling for he never had run into a singer, but he knew he would be a goner if he ever did experience such. Jasper had a hard enough time controlling himself half the time as it is. He was the weakest link when it came to that, he knew, but he dealt with it. He also knew the rest of the coven was looking out for him on that – especially Alice.

Jasper did not try to hold grudges against anyone, but he did wish for this girl to just leave. She did not want to be here, so why put herself through the torture of staying? At the mention of Edward going to the house, Jasper’s eyes focused back onto Alice. He didn’t plan to do anything, but that didn’t mean something could happen. Jasper did not believe it would be the wisest idea for Edward to go to The Swan house, but there would be no stopping him from where they currently sat and it would be too late to stop him anyway. “I don’t really see that as a wise idea on Edward’s part,” Jasper commented. He supposed if Edward believed he could control himself, then he would go no matter what. It was a tricky situation though.

What to do with the girl? Jasper knew they couldn’t scare her out of town. Jasper didn’t want to draw anymore attention to their family then that was already drawn to them merely just by their inhuman like appearance. Any one of them could do something completely harmless and it would be twisted around to some sort of story that gossipers would spread around like wildfire. Hah! Imagine the story going around about the Cullen and Hale children (as if they were even really children), the teenagers who were considered polite and didn’t get into trouble by the rest of the town, scaring off Miss Isabella Swan right after she had moved to the rainy little town. Now that was sure to make the front page of the Forks paper. They had nothing else useful to print in there anyway.

A small smile stretched across Jasper’s face at Emmett’s comment of scaring her off though. It didn’t take long for Esme to scold him for it, but Jasper could sense that she was amused as well. Jasper felt Alice’s thumb rub over his own as she spoke once again. Yes – they would just have to wait for Edward to return after the girl either left or if Edward believed he could fight the urge. It was clear that’s what he was trying to do otherwise he would not have left for Denali. “Why did she even come here?” Jasper hoped he did not sound hostile with that statement. He really did want to know what her purpose of coming here if she did not like Forks.

Emmett's agitation was obvious to Rosalie, causing her to scoot closer to her husband and lay a comforting hand on his shoulder. In truth, she was feeling similarly irritated. Despite ninety one years of heads snapping in her direction, Rosalie couldn't say she liked the attention being refocused on this Swan girl, whose presence seemed at first so minuscule only to have such a mind blowing effect on Edward. But, if she was Edward's 'singer', then Rosalie had to accept that there might be something special about her. As the unformed image of Isabella Swan, the chief of police officer's daughter, floated in the mists of her mind, Rose realized she had caught a glimpse of the girl, only her appearance was so... plain and normal that she had blended in with the rest of the students. Rose blinked in a dumbfounded sort of way. She had always harbored a smug curiosity for Edward's preference in women; after all, he hadn't quite taken an immediate liking to her when she had joined the family. Then again, the feeling was absolutely, positively mutual in Rose's case, for the moment she had heard Edward's voice she had been extremely annoyed. But that was sort of different. At first, Rosalie didn't think Edward really had a good excuse for not liking her-- for what was there not to like? While her ego may have watered down slightly over the years, and since she had met Emmett, the fact remained the same: Edward was an odd one.

When Emmett looked at her in response to her last question, a humorous smile gracing his features, Rosalie thought she knew exactly what was on Emmett's mind. Her husband was of the competitive sort who had always thrived on physical conflict, so when he voiced the idea of 'scaring' the Swan girl away, Rosalie guessed that was the most lukewarm of his thoughts. Raising her eyebrows at him, a small smile of her own tugged at the corner of her lips. Inwardly, she thought Emmett had the right idea, though the complications really did seem to outweigh the benefits. And it wouldn't do to continuously run away from their problems... no, Edward would just have to learn to cooperate with his lust for the Miss Isabella Swan's blood. And if he couldn't... well. She'd either wind up dead or the Cullen's would move, simple as that. Rosalie didn't necessarily like the options at hand, but what other one's were there? The family would just have to wait for Edward to return, and much sooner than that, Carlisle's. There was no doubt in her mind that Carlisle would have some light to shed on the situation, having spoken directly with Edward about the dilemma.

Rosalie thought of asking her sister if she saw any future with Isabella leaving Forks, but was reluctant to voice her question. Alice's power was truly a magnificent one, although Rosalie was sure she felt the pressures of it often, what with the family badgering her with constant questions. Also, the future was subject to change based off of a person's decisions, so whatever Alice could divulge was not precisely set in stone. Still, Rose was far from pacified. She had always found Edward a tad melodramatic and wanted nothing more than for him to return home alright.

"Does it matter?" Rosalie responded to Jasper's question with another one, her tone pathetically helpless-- which was quite the feat for Rose. Normally she was headstrong to the point of stubbornness, rarely did she give up on a matter when it wasn't to her liking. However, this was a situation whose gears were beyond her control, invoking a feeling within Rosalie she always inhabited when a puzzling matter arose. When a problem couldn't be solved, she took to her car, hiding away in the concrete garage where problems could be solved, so long as she knew which tool was needed. Unfortunately, life was not a clockwork like her car was, and Rosalie would just have to wait patiently with whatever unsolved problems there were.

As Emmett reached for the remote control, Rosalie slipped off her shoes and curled next to Emmett on the couch, deciding she would rather watch sports or action or whatever it was her husband was interested in watching rather than brainstorming a solution for Edward. Because, sadly, there was no set solution the Cullen's could come up with without him, and besides it was something Edward would have to eventually take care of on his own. They would be there for him, of course, just as they were for Emmett, but in the end, it was Emmett who had to learn to control his urges. "What matters is she's here now. I just wish she'd leave." Rosalie added as an afterthought, her last comment sounding slightly venomous.

Emmett stretched across the sofa and sighed about the fact they were still talking about this random girl. He knew how the situation would work, Edward would leave for a while, get over himself, come back and it will be like nothing ever happened. He still kind of hoped that there would be some vampire-esque scaring involved, but somehow he highly doubted it. Sometimes his family were FAR too goodie-goodie for his liking.

“Nice Emmett though horses head, really? I would have thought a bear’s head would have been more appropriate, after we could have fun taking on down.”

Lifting his head up to Alice he smirked. That would be perfect. He nodded enthusiastically not quite hearing the flow of sarcasm in her voice. Emmett loved Bears. It was his favourite type of food source, he actually sometimes thought he preferred them to the one or two times he had actually tasted human blood. He was not completely sure why, after all that was their natural food source, but there was something about them that tasted so awesome. Also the chase was kind of fun too. Bears fought back, other animals? Not so much. It got kind of boring hunting deer after a while. There was no excitement in it. They just ran away and with his vampire speed and strength he could simply just catch them. BORING!

He lifted his head and smiled as Rosalie came over to him. He raised his arm so she could neatly tuck underneath it, and a feeling of warmth came over him. Rose had saved him from certain death. Death by what he now found such triumph to hunt. He looked at his sometimes wife and grinned. She was truly beautiful. Sometimes it was hard to believe she was his Rosalie and not someone else’s, but she was, and he was grateful for that. He knew sometimes she blamed herself for making him a monster, but Emmett didn’t blame anyone. This was the card he had been given, and he was happy with it. But when was Emmett never not happy? Besides, he knew she was thinking the same thing as him. He knew she thought him right. They had spent so many years side by side that he was starting to recognise the little things about her that signalled what she was thinking. For example that slight smile in the lips meant Emmett was right. In maybe not so many words.

He heard the Television blurring away and lost concentration. A game was on. The grin widened as he pulled Rose closer and lay on his back with his arms behind his head. Cheering on whichever team had the most inventive name.

"What matters is she's here now. I just wish she'd leave."

Emmett nodded. She was right. It didn’t matter anymore. He tore himself away from the television and his glaze flashed to Jasper momentarily, he was the one member of the family that wasn’t in complete control and Emmett couldn’t help but wonder why Edward, who had achieved near Carlisle standards couldn’t cope, while Jasper was still standing there. Hungry. He remembered something Edward had said to him earlier today. Jasper needed to hunt, and just cause of this stupid girl it didn’t mean the world should stop. ”We should hunt tonight. We need to look after ourselves as well, besides, I could do me with some bear.” He rubbed his stomach jokingly, before returning his gaze to the television and licking his lips mockingly. Hunting would not only ensure the rest of the family were at full strength, especially Jasper, but it would also take their minds off the situation, at least momentarily. Then the “Kinki Devils” scored and Emmett let out a howl of satisfaction. After all, who wouldn't appricate a team who nicknamed themselves that? It was, as alice would put it. Pure Genius.

Esme gave a bright affectionate smile shaking her head slightly at Emmett and his vulgar words. Truly hunting was Esme’s least favourite part of this life. Certainly no taking an animals life was nothing comparison to taking a humans but… still she felt such guilt when faced with cold empty eyes of a dead creature, she was always careful with her choices usually picking animals with a broken leg or a sickness truly caring not if it altered the taste or not. If she had her way… she wouldn’t eat at all but she would never attempt such a thing again, knowing now the frenzy starvation brought.

She remained quite quiet, a contemplating look decorating her pale features. Certainly she detested their strange but charming family being separated in any way, but it would wrong to frighten this poor girl who didn’t want to be here anyway and had absolutely no idea the issues she was causing for her neighbours. Besides that wasn’t their way… they were different from any other vampires who may well have used made her ‘vanish’, it would be easy yes but not right.

Even if the girl did not leave perhaps the temptation faded over time… truly she knew nothing about ‘singers’ she knew nothing of how it worked only that it was alike a sirens call to a vampire. She had overheard some vampires she had met with Carlisle on their slight travels when she was very young speak of it, her romantic mind had instantly began to think it akin to the werewolves and their imprinting until the crimson eyed began to speak of it much to her disgust as if it was like finding that ‘special brand’ of wine. No Esme had no problems with how anyone else wished to live, their ways could not always be shared and she would never attempt to shove her own beliefs onto another, it had psychically sickened and frightened her how so many of those they met spoke of taking life as if it was nothing, as if there would be no consequence and someone who loved that victim would cry in grief.

“Perhaps you should befriend her!” She spoke finally, head resting to her hand as she gazed around the room at her four adopted children having no doubt the looks of horror she would probably receive. Typical of Esme, so certain affection was to be the answer. “I know so little of how this all works…” She admitted honestly had she been human a small blush may have crept across her pale cheeks. “Perhaps after a short trip to recuperate, if all of you and Edward get to know her she will be less of a temptation.” She offered with a light shrug. “And if you were friends, there would someone to protect her if Edward should ever lose control.” She offered lightly though she knew it certainly was unfair to have to place Edward near such temptation and ask him to hold back. Perhaps it was for the best he went to Alaska.

Still… it might do some good for them to befriend someone. The Cullen’s kept very much to themselves, they were different and in such a small town they stuck out terrible. People feared different and it was undoubtedly that such well behaved and beautiful of a family would be envied. But certainly it would be easier for the five of the teenagers to make friends being surrounded constantly by peers it might do some good. Though part of her already doubted they would agree to the girl who was in all honestly though she knew it not driving away their brother.
